The new PUK 6.1 - finest precision welding technology for jewelry manufacturers
The PUK 6.1 is the logical further development of the globally successful PUK 6 and benefits from 24 years of experience and expertise in the development of welding equipment for jewelry manufacturers, goldsmiths, silversmiths, jewelers, watchmakers and many more.
The PUK 6.1 not only offers a faster spot weld sequence, the speed can now also be set continuously. In addition, up to 5 individual configurations can be saved permanently and the PUK 6.1 starts automatically from standby mode in the last settings having been used. The PUK 6.1 has a new PIN mode on board for welding pins or ear studs.
Computer-aided simulations and numerous welding tests have once again noticeably improved the precision, homogeneity and appearance of the precious metal welding spots compared to the PUK 6. This takes the fine welding technology of the PUK 6.1 to an uprecedented new level.
The PUK 6.1 easily handles material thicknesses of less than 0.2 mm and, in addition to welding all precious metal alloys for fittings, studs, eyelets, chain links, rings etc., now also enables simple welding of ear studs and pins.

Details of fine welding technology for jewelry production
PUK welding - a simply ingenious functional principle
As soon as the electrode tip of the welding handpiece touches the workpiece, the welding process is automatically initiated. A fusion with a diameter of approx. 0.2 to 3.0 mm is created at the contact point under an inert gas atmosphere, depending on the material and selected welding parameters.
PUK welding machines are not only suitable for precious metal alloys such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium, but also for numerous non-ferrous metals, including copper and tin alloys as well as various steels, stainless steel and titanium alloys. Some examples of typical applications can be found under the following link.
All alloys that are suitable for welding with a laser can also be welded with the PUK 6.1. It should be particularly emphasized that our fine welding machines can also be used in the immediate vicinity of sensitive gemstones without causing damage. They are therefore ideal for goldsmiths and silversmiths as well as for repair work by jewelers and watchmakers.
A compact TIG welding machine that can be used variably in jewelry production
The functionality and range of applications are almost identical to those of laser welding. Stable welded joints can easily be produced for workpieces as thin as 0.2 mm.
The PUK 6.1 fine welding unit opens up numerous application possibilities in jewelry production: It enables the construction of sheet metal and wire elements, fixation welds and repairs, the filling of defects and the filling of pores by applying welding wire. The PUK 6.1 can be used to realize a wide range of projects – from the smallest repairs to series production and extraordinary new creations.
