Welding a bracket to a band
In preparation, if work is to be carried out on the model, the bands should be made hollow in the area to be welded. This can be done by waxing out beforehand or by grinding out after fabrication of the model.
This minimizes the risk of damaging the bands during welding.
As with all other applications, the components should lie together with as few gaps as possible. If necessary, the contact must be optimized by grinding the parts. Small gaps are not a problem for soldered joints, but they are if the parts are to be welded together. The better the preparation of the parts, the easier the components can be welded afterwards.
