Welding the frame mount

1. prepare the frame

Frame settings for square stones are much easier to produce with a few preliminary considerations.

The outer frame is made as usual from two L-shaped parts, which are not yet soldered, but simply held at the correct angle with spot welds.

2. prepare welding

Place the stone with the panel on a clean and level surface and place the frame parts around the stone.

Welding sometimes produces a small amount of soot.
Therefore, place a piece of paper over the stone as protection.

3. set welding points

Always place the welding points on the underside or in other places that can be easily trimmed later.

Insert 4th edition

The support can also be used without any problems.
To do this, make two more angle pieces that fit into the outer frame, as shown in the diagram.
Insert them into the frame for stapling so that they rest on the stone, this saves adjustment work when setting!

5. inserting the stone

Now the socket is ready for soldering.
Everything is in the right position and nothing can slip.

6. welding

Settings for octagonal stones can also be produced very easily in this way.
The outer frame is made from two side panels and two small front and rear panels, which only need to be adjusted in length to fit the
side facets.
The panels for the support can also be inserted easily and accurately.
Fix them in place with two points each to prevent them from slipping.
